Jackson signed with the NZ Breakers before the 2011/12 season in the hopes that he will replace former Breaker, Kirk Penney. The Breakers jumped out to a fast start largely due to Jacksons play. Jackson was awarded 'Player of the week' in round 18 of the 2011/12 season after registering 15 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals in his teams vital 83-77 victory over the Perth Wildcats before a sold out crowd at the North Shore Events Centre in Auckland.

Jackson went on to lead the league in assists & steals but despite this was not nominated for defensive player of the year. After the Breakers won the 2012 championship Jackson said he would try to break the NBA again before re-signing with the Breakers.

In August 2012 the NZ Breakers announced that Jackson would return again for the 2012-13 NBL season [1]. On November 30th against the Melbourne Tigers Jackson recorded his first NBL triple double and just the 2nd triple double since the NBL switched to 40 minute games. Jackson's stellar play continued throughout his second NBL season and as a result he was named player of the week 4 times, NBL All-Star, All NBL First Team and NBL MVP. He lead the league in steals per game and assists per game. The NZ Breakers again finished first in the league, storming through the playoffs, sweeping every team. Jackson was named Grand Final MVP.

At the end of the season Jackson played for the Miami Heat and Portland Trailblazers in the NBA Summer League(s). He did not make a NBA roster and decided to sign with Union Olimpija in Slovenia. Due to injuries he was waived by the club in March 2014 and re-signed with the NZ Breakers in July 2014.
