Round 2 Tips And Odds

ILLAWARRA HAWKS vs NZ Breakers
ATF Tip: Hawks by 6
Breakers will be without Mika Vukona, Alex Pledger and Tom Abercrombie have both just returned from injury. Even though the Hawks will be without Kevin Lisch, Kirk Penney has vowed to have a breakout game against his former team. This mixed with the fact that it we can’t see the Hawks losing 3 straight under coach Bevo, we’re taking the Hawks.
Hawks paying $1.83. Not bad but we think the close odds reflect just how hard this game will be to predict.
SYDNEY KINGS vs Townsville Crocs
ATF Tip: Sydney by 3+
The Kings will be without Josh Childress again as rumours swirl around the club on just how healthy he really is at the moment. The Crocs have proved they won’t lay down after a narrow loss against the Breakers in New Zealand last week. The Kings are better on paper even without Lord Chillington – however the Crocs have youth and the underdog tag on their side..
Crocs paying $3.40! We believe the Kings SHOULD get up in this one but you can’t count out Townsville. Paying those odds, i’d take a punt.
MELBOURNE UNITED vs Adelaide 36ers
ATF Tip: Melbourne by 12+
United are the form team at the moment and they are yet to really welcome Nate Tomlinson back into their rotation. Chris Goulding and Todd Blanchfield have showed their going to be the best 1-2 punch in the league this season, not to mention Holt or Kickert can drop 20+ at any time. Majok is showing he will be one of the leagues best rebounders and how can you forgot about Warrick?!
We’re not giving Adelaide that much of a shot so $3.40 still wouldn’t be enough for me to be interested in a punt – however who knows what happens if Ere catches fire?
PERTH WILDCATS vs NZ Breakers
ATF Tip: Perth by 4+
Mika is still a big question mark over this game, however we don’t believe the odds truly reflect how close this game will be. Yes it’s in Perth and we’re tipping the Wildcats but don’t think that the Breakers will just lay down without a fight. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see an upset here either.
Breakers paying $3.75.. If Breakers lose against the Hawks, this could prove to be some great odds!
SYDNEY KINGS vs Illawarra Hawks
Odds: Sydney $1.50 v Illawarra $2.70 *Punt of the round*
ATF Tip: Hawks by 7+
That’s right we’re tipping the Hawks to pull out the road win in Sydney. The Hawks always seem to get up for these games and there’s a chance Lisch could suit up. Kings will likely be without Josh Childress again and if the Hawks start firing, the Kings just can’t match them from the outside.
$2.70 for the Hawks W? I’d jump on that!
CAIRNS TAIPANS vs Townsville Crocs
Odds: Cairns $1.25 v Townsville $4.20
ATF Tip: Taipans by 8
Even though we’re going with the safe tip of the Taipans, it would not surprise us if the Crocs pull this win out in Cairns. We all know anything can happen in a reptile rumble!
Crocs coughing up $4.20?! Jesus. That’s one of the longest odds you’ll see this season. Like I said anything can happen in the rumble, so i’d definitely put a cheeky one on this game.
