The first game will be on August 4th in Adelaide when the 36ers taken on NCAA Div1 team Nicholls State, the college 2012 NBL rookie of year winner, Anatoly Bose attended.
Nicholls State have a number of Aussies on the roster for 2012-13. They are 6ft 7 Lachlan Prest, Swing man Sam McBeath & 6ft 2 guard Linden Smith-Hyde.
At the moment (July 11th) the 36ers have 6 players contracted. They are: Jason Cadee, Daniel Johnson, Mitch Creek, Nathan Crosswell, Stephen Weigh & Luke Schenscher. But by the end of the week the Gold Coast Blaze situation should be resolved (one way or the other) and the 36ers will know where they stand with free agents Adam Gibson & Anthony Petrie.
The next game will be on August 10th when the Wollongong Hawks host the Washington State Cougars at the Snake Pit.
Washington State currently have two Australians on their roster. 6ft 6 swing man Dexter Kernich-Drew and 6ft 10 big man Brock Motum. Both are expected to make the tour to Australia for the game.
The third game will be on August 12th, again at the Snake Pit in Wollongong when the Hawks host the Northern Colorado Bears.
Northern Colorado don’t boast any Aussie players past or present, but the NCAA Div1 team should prove to be a handful for the Hawks.
The Hawks (as of July 11th) have 5 players under contract for 2012-13. They are: Larry Davidson, Tyson Demos, Oscar Forman, Rhys Martin & Tim Coenraad. Glen Saville will also re-sign with the team soon (unknown if he will suit up for the small series). Other players that could suit up for the series are development players Zac Delaney & Alex Beagley. Daniel Jackson is also expected to re-sign.
