Fan Feedback: NBL Leading Scorer

goulding02

We recently covered off the general fan opinion on who will lead the NBL in rebounding, with some interesting results.

I once again put the question out there and encouraged the hoops community to share their collective thoughts, this time on the 2014 NBL scoring champ.

The overall consensus had the leading scoring order looking like this:-

  • Chris Goulding
  • James Ennis
  • Rotnei Clarke
  • Greg Hire
  • Shawn Redhage
  • Gary Wilkinson

Both Chris Goulding of the Melbourne Tigers and James Ennis of the Perth Wildcats were the standout leaders according to Twitter. As this article goes live, the excitement machine from Perth leads the league with a scoring average of 24ppg, while Goulding trails closely behind on 23.5ppg. (as per NBL website)

While Ennis and Goulding are solid selections, I think the most creative choice came in the form of Greg Hire from the Perth Wildcats. Hire is known more for his epic vertical than his scoring prowess but hey, the ‘Cats are just one roster change away from needing some extra scoring punch.

Here are the overall results and a sample of Twitter feedback:-

There you have it, do you agree or disagree with the hoops fans shown here? We’ll be covering off some more predictions soon, so don’t forget to send us your opinion using the hash tag #ATF.

With countless VCR tapes full of old games and highlights, he's a devoted fan of the "Bill Woods Era" when it comes to Aussie hoops on TV. Bringing a Melbourne-centric flavour to ATF, Hendo plans to stick around a while and bring you some entertaining factoids from across the NBL.

11500 there last night, be good if other nbl teams could replicate what the wildcats are producing on and off the court right now.

The other games that have been played so far in the NBL Paul. The Mic on Trevor wasn't the only good thing, the highlights packages & old footage was great too.

Having Trevor miked up was a great idea, good to listen to what the coaches are saying/screaming out during the play.
