Mirko Djeric Returns To The NBL

The Cairns Taipans have added some talent to their backcourt rotation after it was announced that they have signed Mirko Djeric.

Mirko started his NBL career with the Illawarra Hawks back in 2012-13 where the then 18 year old played 8 games for the Hawks, averaging 3 ppg in 11 mpg.

Djeric left the Hawks after just 1 season to join his future Taipans head coach Mike Kelly in Townsville.
Playing for the new defunct Townsville Crocs Mirko had a solid 3 seasons, mostly coming off the bench in a 7th-8th man role, he had his best season in the NBL in 2015-16 when he averaged 5 ppg.

After Townsville left the NBL he would sign with the Sydney Kings, however he would not play for the Kings as he decided to leave Australia and play in Serbia.

The Taipans roster now includes Djeric, Jarrod Kenny, Majok Deng and Tom Jervis.
