Ater Majok Returns To The NBL

The New Zealand Breakers have signed 6 foot 10 Australian / Lebanese / Sudanese forward Ater Majok.

Majok has played in the NBL previously. In 2011 he started his professional career with the Perth Wildcats. In 8 games he averaged 7.5 ppg, 2 bpg and 2.8 rpg. Later that season he signed to play with the now defunct Gold Coast Blaze. In 6 games he averaged 2.8 ppg and 2.3 rpg.

In 2011 Majok was drafted by the LA Lakers in the 2nd round. He then went on to play overseas in Germany, Korea, Poland, China, Lebanon and in the G-League. Although he is yet to play in a NBA game, his draft rights have been since traded to Chicago and are now owned by New Orleans.

The 32 year old forward joins a team that now includes: Scotty Hopson, RJ Hampton, Corey Webster, Finn Delany, Tom Abercrombie, Rob Loe, Jordan Ngatai and Jarrad Weeks.
